www.mexarte. com and www.aztecaJewelry.com (now merged as a single site) was established over 15 years ago by Dennis McCann. All of the products on this site are Pre-Colombian (Mesoamerican) inspired. We have uncovered some of the best artisans throughout Mexico specializing in this area. Since we work directly with the artesanos creating these products, our selection, quality control and prices cannot be matched. We are working hard to keep this mostly family tradition continuing into the future. We also do custom orders. If you have a specific piece in mind or a picture of one, we can give you a quote using original materials and workmanship second to none. We do not deal in mass produced “tourist” items, only one of a kind replicas of museum quality art. The jewelry is created by master silversmiths in Taxco, the silver capital of Mexico. All of our jewelry is crafted with high quality sterling silver (.925) with authentic Aztec, Mayan, Olmec and other Mesoamerican designs in semi-precious stone (obsidian, mother-of-pearl, turquoise, malachite, etc.).
