MAYAN CALENDAR
The classical Tzolkin Calendar is one of the most important Mayan calendars for modern people to understand.
The Tzolk'in is the oldest of all the Mayan Calendars and is referred to as the Master Calendar. All the other Mayan calendars are synchronized to it. There are more than 20 versions of the Mayan Calendar: most of them are more of mathematical formula, so we have chosen to recreate the most visual:
LONG COUNT CALENDAR
The Haab' is based in the cycles of earth. It has 360 + 5 days or kins, totaling 365 days. The Haab uses 18 uinals or months with 20 days in each month. There is a 19th month called a Wayeb and uses the 5 extra and nameless days, considered evil or bad luck days. Each month has its own name/glyph. Each day uses a sacred sun/glyph.

Special 3-D Wood Art
This art is a special form of using different types of woods that are from different regions of the world and different textures to obtain a unique piece of art.
These figures are handcrafted with the finest techniques of inlay of wood and fretwork. They are put together piece by piece.

A) DIFFERENT  TYPES OF WOOD: ( mahogany , cedar , pine, poplar, marupa, barcino, granadillo, tornillo, violeta, parrota, walnut, rosa morada, cumaru, maple, ect.)

Our designs on line may look alike, but each piece is unique and different. This is possible due to the fact that no two pieces of wood are alike. Each piece has its own tone and characteristics. The wood may vary from region to region and from season to season.
It is important for you to understand that we DO NOT PAINT, we use the natural colors of the wood. Our frames only have a matt lacquer and a final sealer that will protect the wood.
B) NUMBER OF PIECES ASSEMBLED: The designs are cut with laser from different types of woods assembled and inlayed as if it were a puzzle to form a unique 3-D mosaic.
